Pharrell Williams just walked the Chanel runway in Paris wearing the most confusing choice of headwear.

Upstaging the news that Karl Lagerfeld had both a “retired” runway model—Cara Delevingne—and a musician strut down the Ritz Paris’s catwalk for the Métiers d’Art show was the Chanel “crown” placed on Pharrell’s head:

Clearly, this lady with her iPhone out knows what’s up. At once golden and hairy, layered and flush, this yellow headpiece has us utterly confused. It’s safe to say this is a new interpretation of Pharrell’s infamous headwear.
